Ringing in the 30’s with the 20’s

If there’s one thing I love almost as much as my beloved fruits and veggies its a good theme party. Any excuse to get gussied up and celebrate something fun and festive with friends is a fabulous way to spend an evening in my book! Our most recent themed soiree was for my amazing friend Kate’s 30th birthday. We rang in her 30th year with a roaring 20’s theme, an apt tribute to her last decade and a most dapper way to style out a party!

The  birthday girl wore fabulous sequins and tulle adorned floor length gown by Angel Fashion.

That is until the end of the night when she changed into something more appropriate for dancing the charleston to, a short and shiny frock by Pretty Guide.

I of course, predictably so, made a beeline to the fruit upon arrival and quickly took over the task of preparing and taste testing the ingredients for Manhattans and French 75’s (which were renamed aptly to French 30’s for the night).

I wore a delicate summery white frock from ASOS which though modestly lengthed had a sheer laced top which if not for some appropriately placed ribbon on the bodice would have been quite scandalous.

From period appropriate music and flicks, fabulous frocks, and my favorite a bathtub full of bubbly it was a delicious night indeed! Cheers to friends who are always up for theme party fun!
